FAQs - Everything You Need to Know

Can I use my own garage for repairs?

Yes! You can use any VAT-registered independent garage independent garage. If you don't have a preferred garage, try The Good Garage Scheme online, or we can recommend one for you.

  • Main dealers can be used, but you may need to cover the additional costs compared to an independent garage.
  • Your warranty covers a labour rate of up to £100 per hour, so check this if using a main dealer.
Do I have to pay for repairs myself and claim the money back?

No! We pay the garage directly over the phone before you collect your car. If they don't accept card payments, we can send an immediate bank transfer.

  • All we ask is that the garage emails or faxes us their invoice first. No other warranty company offers this level of service.
Does my warranty cover worn-out components?

No. No warranty covers normal wear and tear.

  • The warranty is designed to cover unexpected failures, not routine wear and tear.
  • Even a brand-new car warranty won't cover components that wear down over time.
Do I need to get my vehicle serviced?

Yes! You must service your vehicle at the correct intervals as recommended by the manufacturer after purchase.

  • It doesn't have to be done at a main dealer, but you'll need to keep receipts as proof of servicing
  • We are not concerned with the vehicle's service history before you purchased it.
Does my warranty cover diagnostic charges?

No, plug-in diagnostic charges aren't covered because different garages charge different amounts for the same service.

  • However, the warranty does cover physical dismantling charges in the event of a valid claim, up to your warranty claim limit.
Will I have to pay anything?

If your claim is approved, we will cover the agreed amount with your garage. However, you may need to pay:

  • Any non-covered components
  • Any amount that exceeds your claim limit
What is my claim limit?
  • Year 1: Up to £5,000 per claim
  • Year 2: Up to £2,000 per claim
  • You can claim as many times as needed up to the total value of your vehicle.
How do I make a claim?

If you experience a failure, follow the claims procedure outlined in your warranty booklet. Our team will guide you through the process and ensure you get back on the road as quickly as possible.

Do I get a courtesy car?

Yes! With our Platinum Warranty, we offer a £50 per day budget for a courtesy vehicle. Speak to our claims team to arrange one.
